View of Sydney Harbor from the Plyon Lookout

Sydney

After exploring the North Territory (and everyone else seeing the Great Barrier Reef) we flew down the south coast and met up in Sydney, Australia.  This city has a lot going on.

We ventured down to the harbor on our way to the Opera House tour.

We started by checking into our hostel and heading down to the harbor for great views of the city and Opera House before our tour.

After the Opera House tour, we walked through The Rocks district which is home to the original colonial village that made up Sydney and the iconic harbor bridge.  For sightseeing, we walked up one of the pylons on the bridge to get a great view of Sydney city center and the harbor.

This was Monica’s and Matt’s last full day with us.  Tomorrow we are heading west from Sydney to do some canyoning and mountaineering in the Blue Mountains.
